BWWST A campaign with a simple purpose. But We Will STAND TALL (BWWST) is real people sharing their stories through artistic photography. The before picutre & the after picture.

This project started as a personal project of portrait photographer Jason Matos (jasonmatosphoto.com). The entire set of photos actually took a few months to complete. Now BWWST is online and thanks to web development by Graham Paulsen at 5D Media & Design (5dmedia.ca) BWWST now has uploading capabilities. In the Contact Form Page anyone can submit their story and photos or artwork to be added to the BWWST gallery. We're hoping that both individuals and groups will be interested in sharing their stories. So if you've got a story about your journey through struggle and you can express it in a set of artful and interesting images: then inspire us: fill out the form and send us your photos.

Glad Tidings Burlington - STILL CHRISTMAS

11.22.09Posted by GPaulsen by News Post Login

Glad Tidings Burlington "The sentiment is so simple, so basic. You already know it, you just haven’t thought of it lately." D.D.

We have just launched the Glad Tidings Burlington Christmas 2009 theme: STILL CHRISTMAS. Pastor Kevin Shepherd has developed a sermon series looking at the various forms and biblical uses of the word ‘STILL’. This campaign is especially focusing on how 'STILL' pertains to people's lives during this holiday season. Working closely with this mandate, 5D has developed a set of graphic pieces to compliment the STILL theme (in print, video & projection slides). In order to deepen the delivery, we’ve also introduced the idea of using a tangible element in the theme; creating a placeholder for church goers to be mindful of taking time for relationships and prayer.

So what can universally represent stillness and 'taking time'? Are there any constants around us or in our communities that can remind us of everyone’s need to 'Stop the Rush'? Enter: the Park Bench. There is nothing exciting, attractive, Christmasy or necessarily romantic about a park bench. However, it is common enough to serve as a year round reminder of our need for stillness.

Park Benches: our placeholder for Rest, Reflection and Relationships.

Release: November 22, 2009. Images coming to the Portfolio.

Presentation Project for Yonge Street Mission

11.20.09Posted by GPaulsen by News Post Login

Yonge Street Mission 5D Media & Design was asked to produce a package of presentation materials (PowerPoint, Poster) for Yonge Street Mission. In the course of reviewing their Core documents, we assisted by dressing up presentation materials for use during their review and discussion meetings.

We also set out to prepare a set of illustrations and in doing so, put a face to the YSM Core Values. Inspired by 'ground-level' works by groups such as "Plain Speak" (www.plainspeak.ca), we developed a graphic strategy and engaged the heart of these directives. With simple, genuine illustration and a thematic 'heart' element, artist Dany Gehshan (www.dany-art.com)and 5D Creative Director Graham Paulsen produced a YSM Core Values Poster.

Release: November 20, 2009. Images coming to the Portfolio.

24/7 gets a complete facelift!

10.20.09Posted by DShelley by Blackberry Storm

24/7 Church For a few years, 24/7 Church has been online with a flash site that had served them well. We were approached by Pastor Kip to help them develop a site with increased connectivity and features that are more manageable. Flash sites are typically more hard-wired and making updates can be like asking your car dealer to rebuild your engine.

With a custom-created content management system, the 24/7 Team can now hop on the net and make changes from anywhere — at anytime!

thePOSTINGS.ca - upcoming release from 5D

08.31.09Posted by DMcLeod

The Postings.ca thePostings.ca is an exciting new release coming from the 5D Team. We have used a number of development tools to get this site up and running. This is a simple community postings website that integratres some great new coding with a pleasant, open air design. Building on the experience of a previous release in the northern community of Moose Factory Island, thePostings.ca is nearly ready for use across the North now that the general use of computers and the internet has progressed over the past few years since the test release in 2007.

Like many small and close-knit communities, there are a number of poster boards around the community of Moose Factory Island. These boards are the community's point of information for many events, employment opportunities, items for sale, and a variety of community announcements. With the increase of technology and the use of the internet in the north, thePostings.ca is strategically positioned to serve the community in a similar way. thePostings.ca is free to use and a mobile/smart phone edition is slated for beginning of 2010.

Aegean Blue, Turkey - our first 'Travel' client

08.25.09Posted by GPaulsen by MobilePost

Aegean Blue Aegean Blue, Turkey needed a website to connect with it's broad base of international clients. This was our first chance to work with a Travel & Tourism business. Everyone is happy, not only with the process, but also with the final product.

Aegean Blue asked us for a modern, clean, and attractive design. Fortunately, they provided us with authentic and amazing photography from their destinations. Subsequently, we decided on a simple site design that provides a solid framework for showcasing their photography and their work. The site uses a simple colour scheme which allows for a strong delivery of their raw content. We are excited to see how this will affect their overall operations slated for the next year.

A big thanks to Aegean Blue for hosting our trip to Turkey. We were able to get a great taste for Turkey and the way they handle business. It was great to travel in such a flexible and family-friendly way! Thanks again Aegean Blue!

Offical Release September 18th, Preview at: AegeanBlue.org

Annidis Health Systems

08.12.09Posted by DMcLeod by MobilePost

Annidis Health Systems This summer we were approached by Annidis Health Systems to deliver a website in time for their trade show schedule. The design theme for the site is a mix of “minimalist layout” and “medical documentation”. We were able to deliver a design that was just that; along with some flash elements customized to showcase their main product.

Using a hybrid site design that incorporates flash we increased the movement and animation appeal of their site. At the same time the text material is all searchable, making the Annidis site much easier to find in terms of search engine optimization (SEO). Add to all of this the ability to sign up for e-mail updates and the Annidis Health Systems website is not just a web presence, but an effective tool in their business growth and market development.

Presently, Annidis Health Systems is one of our highest traffic clients and their tradeshow work is paying off in terms of directing their potential clients to the site.
